Hey Steven,
how about a new Porcupine Tree album ???
Do you like to release a random side-project-album every 4 weeks ?

Agreed. I absolutely love PT but most of Steven’s solo stuff does little for me.

I kinda had the ‘meh’ attitude towards the Steven Wilson solo carreer as well.
But Grace for Drowning changed everything. It’s my favorite SW album, all bands considered!

porcupine tree’s new album is in the works and due summer 2013.
Steven Wilson’s solo stuff is absolutely incredible – having attended the Grace For Drowning tour myself I can say that it is completely different from PT, but no less significant.. Far more personal and far more artistic.
His t-shirt pretty much summed up the basis of his solo music…
“Music IS Art”

Thanks for the post, but… All links are dead.

Thanks for sharing.
And I have to completely agree with p doc. The tour was great and the music is absolutely amazing. I was stunned after the show … which hadn’t happened to me in years … and I see about 25-30 shows a year.
Saw a Gavin clinic last Sun which was one of the best drum experiences I’ve had. Truly incredible.

There likely won’t be another Porcupine Tree Album for a good long time if ever. Depends on Stevens whims, he’s happier with this band than he ever has been.
Whoever stated the time frame above is delirious. Steven is already recording his third solo album which will start a tour next spring/summer.
