Think the problem with extracting is the file name length. I had the same issue with the first part (so far only one downloaded) but I copied it to experiment and renamed the copied one to a very short name and it opened fine. All files worked.

5 parts done, all extracted fine. After each part is downloaded, simply rename the file as Stones and unzip. No tracks corrupted, all work.

Found another way around making it successfully work, so as long as it did just that, then I’m a happy camper!! Have downloaded 5 parts so far, and so far, nothing’s come up “corrupted.” All is good!! Let’s hope the last 2 parts do the same. :-)

Okay, this is my last entry on this release, folks. Yeah, the downloads came through fine with nothing so-called “corrupt” or whatever …. BUT, after I organized all the discs into my personal Rolling Stones folder under “My Music” and then tried to play some of them to check out sound-quality, etc., SOME OF THE TRACKS WON’T EVEN PLAY ON MY WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER!!!! :-(

Everything extracted fine for me, 173 songs, all of which play perfectly. The problem that some of you are having could certainly be the length of the file names, as Mikey-Mike said above. Also, these are wrapped as folders within folders, with extends the file name length. Renaming the files will probably work for most of you. Another other way to extract files like this is to move the zips to your root directory and extract them there. On most PCs, the root directory is your “C” drive, which is usually accessible on your desktop under the My Computer icon. This works because having a file within any directory above your root directory also extends the file name length by 30 characters, just as it does when putting it into a folder. For example, I usually extract files within my desktop folder on my PC, which has the path name “C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop.” Each folder above the “C:” directory adds 30 characters to the file name length, so that “Doc and Settings” + “Admin” + “Desktop” = 90 characters. Most systems only allow a maximum of 260 characters for file name lengths, so if I extracted these Stones zips on my desktop, the 90 characters from the path, and the 60 characters from having these files wrapped as folders within folders, plus the length of the folder titles and song names themselves would all together probably exceed the 260 characters my system allows, making the zips impossible to unzip, or possibly giving incomplete extractions on just the songs that did exceed 260 characters. I hope that’s not too confusing of an explanation. As I said, everything extracted fine for me, because I moved the zips to my “C” drive before I unzipped them.
Another trick that will work is to bypass the business of long path names by extracting without following the path. Most extraction programs, such as WinRar have a “do not extract using paths” option under the Advanced tab.
Also, it might simply be that the unzipping program that you’re using is having some issue with these particular files. I’ve found that if one program won’t extract something, another one probably will, and so I have several installed. The three that I use most often and which almost always seem to manage to get files extracted are WinRar, 7-Zip, and IZArc.

the PC internal PATH + The songs names + the albuns names + etc is usually more than 260 charateres – Sugestion: download it to C:/ , rename the zipped file to shorter characteres and it’s ok
