Any information about the source? From yesterday this album is available for fans as online listening but the 128kbps files are downloadble with a little knowledge. Does it just a coincidence? This release is an up-convert of the web source, or a real rip of a CD?

Looks like all three links are now pointing to the FLAC version, thereby making it difficult to acquire the MP3 320Kbps version.

Amazing….again amazing.
Thanks, Tom

Yup, all three links are FLAC. Can somebody please re-up the mp3 versions?

Fantastic album! All musicians are amazing and all songs are great! Mr. Keith Richards plays the guitar and sings in 4 songs. Marc Ribot is a great guitar player and make it even better. Charlie Musselwhite on harmonicas, Flea and Les Claypool on bass. Great team + David Hidalgo from Los Lobos. The lyrics of Satisfied says: “now Mr. Jagger and Mr. Richards I will scratch where I’ve been itching”. And Mr. Richards himself plays the guitar on it. Thats Great! And I think Keith is in much better company than Mick with his superheavy thing. Maybe Waits will also work with Keith soon. Would be super…I wouldn’t worry about the album format becuase you should have the cd or LP or whatever. It worth it!

@Casey Btw…Tom had worked a lot in the past with Keith and will probably in the future…
And I am the only one in the world..who’s finding this album boring, i know.
This is the most mainstreamed work from him..maybe now he got the attention he deserves.
Must listen to this record more often….millions can’t be wrong ;-)

@Se7en
its not “boring” per se, but not really stellar either.
as for his most commercial, there are many many albums he made that are far more commercial than this. even mule variations is a pop record compared to this.
but its tom waits, and he can do no wrong..;p

Not his best. The hype is just that… hype. It’s almost as if he were recording a parody of himself. I’ve been a Waits fan since the early eighties and am sad to say this album was hardly worth the wait(s).

I think this is the best thing he’s done since Mule Variations. It’s like a synthesis of everything that came before it. It’s definitely a more conventional album than his last record. But it’s not like he’s totally abandoned his experimental side. “Hell Broke Luce” is just as wild as anything on Real Gone, not to mention one of the most badass songs ever recorded. And the ballads are gorgeous, particularly “Back in the Crowd” and “Last Leaf”. There’s nothing wrong with going back to basics once in a while, and it’s cool that he’s revisiting some of the styles from his past like jazz, blues, and rockabilly. This is another excellent addition to his increasingly brilliant catalogue. Hands down my favorite album of the year so far.
